Medical Data Bank (MDB): the Future of Medicine

On 21 November 2023, the employees of MOLecoLAB Centre of  Molecular Studies on Civilisation Diseases visited the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering at Lodz University of Technology. Thanks to the invitation from Łukasz Szymański, Eng. PhD, prof. of TUL, we participated in the conference which promoted the implementation of Medical Data Bank (MDB). Medical Data Bank was established as the result of the collaboration between the researchers from  the Institute of Polish Mother’s Health Centre in Lodz (ICZMP) and Lodz University of Technology, with the participation of Inovatica. The conference provided an opportunity  to learn about the virtual platform for collection of digital data on the Institute of Polish Mother’s Health Centre in Lodz and Lodz University of Technology. Facilitated access to digitalised, anonymized and structured data is a huge advantage in the development opportunities not only for medicine, but also for basic disciplines (chemistry, biochemistry, physics).
